He said, "It (is) my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves with it for my sheep, and for me in it (are) uses other."
View 82 More Translations ↓He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it."
'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it
He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses."
قَالَ هِىَ عَصَاىَ أَتَوَكَّؤُا۟ عَلَيْهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِى وَلِىَ فِيهَا مَـَٔارِبُ أُخْرَىٰ ١٨
qāla hiya ʿaṣāya atawakka-u ʿalayhā wa-ahushu bihā ʿalā ghanamī waliya fīhā maāribu ukh'r
